Dr Michael Duggan is an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian and FEI Veterinary Services Manager, with experience supporting veterinary services at national and international equestrian events.

Michael has worked as Veterinary Services Manager for the Royal Balmoral Show and Millstreet International Horse Trials, including the 2024 Olympic Qualifiers and the inaugural 2026 Eventing World Championships U25. He has also gained event veterinary experience at Tattersalls International Horse Trials and the Royal Dublin Horse Show.

Veterinary Services Management

WebVet can provide consultancy on veterinary services management and support to equestrian event organisers, working alongside organising committees, veterinary teams, officials and other event personnel.

Michael's experience as a Veterinary Services Manager is complemented by his wider background in equine veterinary medicine, surgery and veterinary consultancy.

FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian

As an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian, Michael can provide veterinary support within the FEI competition environment in accordance with the applicable FEI and National Veterinary Regulations.

His experience includes working within multidisciplinary veterinary and event teams at international equestrian competitions, providing an understanding of the practical requirements of delivering veterinary services within the competition environment.

Equestrian Event Veterinary Consultancy

WebVet is also available to provide veterinary input during the planning of equestrian events.

This may include reviewing proposed veterinary arrangements, facilities, equipment, emergency procedures and referral pathways, or providing veterinary input into wider event planning.
