Equine Surgery Consultant

Dr. Michael Duggan is an EBVS, ECVS and RCVS recognised specialist in Equine Surgery with significant additional post graduate qualifications. Michael has worked in mixed practice, equine first-opinion practice and equine referral practice across the UK and Ireland. He is dual registered with both the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).

Through Duggan Veterinary Consulting (DVC), Michael provides independent specialist equine surgery consultancy and subject matter expertise to veterinary practices, organisations and businesses requiring specialist clinical or scientific input.

Michael's combination of specialist surgical training, clinical experience and research background allows him to provide independent advice on complex equine veterinary matters. His consultancy work is particularly suited to projects requiring specialist interpretation of clinical information, scientific literature or veterinary evidence, whether for veterinary organisations, industry, insurers, legal professionals or other organisations requiring equine subject matter expertise.

Michael also has an extensive research and publication portfolio, including work in equine surgery, orthopaedics and joint disease.
